Eddie Santiago was born and raised in New York City. His family is from Puerto Rico. From 1991-1997 he worked in the music business for three renowned record labels: Mercury Records, Pendulum/EMI Records and Atlantic Records. His work includes marketing projects for Aaliyah (One in a Million) and Brandy (Brandy), Digable Planets (Blowout Comb) and the Funk Essentials catalog reissue series including Parliament-Funkadelic, Kool & the Gang, Cameo, ConFunkShun.
From 1998-2013, Eddie brought his experience in marketing to work in the education and nonprofit sectors in Tampa, Florida.
Eddie's first book, Sly: The Lives of Sylvester Stewart and Sly Stone, was published in 2008.
Eddie earned a master's degree in Community and Economic Development from Pennsylvania State University.
Eddie currently lives in Atlanta, Georgia.
